“Pretty bloody funny karaoke place just off Princess Street, right in central Manchester. Funny because, as much as you are keen to do your best rendition of Sweet Child O’ Mine, the proprietor, Charlie himself, will insist on having a dabble around every 3rd song! Still, great to see someone who loves their work so much! Classic night out.”

“Now this is slightly embarrassing… but I do LOVE Karaoke .Unfortunately however Manchester seems to lack many decent karaokes. Of the few I have come across they have either been pokey, slightly scalliesque or have had only a few English songs! So to be honest to come across Charlies was a joy to me and my musical pals (if you can call our singing musical). This place has a good selection of songs and a great atmosphere. I think the most important part of Karaoke is to make you feel you feel confident enough to get up… the crowd that gather here definitely do. So get some dutch courage down you and sing your little hearts out here ! :)”

“Hidden away just off Princess Street, Charlie’s is fairly non discript from the outside and is easily missed unless you’re looking. Whether its positioning was tactical or not I’ve idea but what I can tell you is that this little gem has a fantastically fun and friendly atmosphere that is helped hugely by the fact that it’s not somewhere idiots stumble into accidentally on a random crawl. Everybody there is a have-a-go hero, X Factor it isn’t but Y-not Factor it certainly is! Get your tonsils warmed up and get down there.”
